Overview
Lyophilized Yolk Antibody of Gosling Plague is a veterinary biologic product developed by Liaoning Yikang Biological Co., Ltd. for the treatment and emergency prevention of gosling plague (Derzsy's disease). The active ingredient consists of specific egg yolk-derived antibodies (IgY) extracted from the yolks of hyperimmunized laying hens. These antibodies provide immediate passive immunity by directly neutralizing the goose parvovirus (GPV), which is the causative agent of the highly contagious and often fatal disease in young geese and ducks. The product is formulated as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder to ensure long-term stability and is typically reconstituted for administration to waterfowl, particularly those between 1 and 3 weeks of age.
