Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LyphoDerm is a biologic therapy consisting of a freeze-dried lysate derived from cultured allogeneic human epidermal keratinocytes. Formulated as a hydrophilic gel for topical administration, it is designed to promote healing in chronic wounds, specifically hard-to-heal venous leg ulcers. Developed by XCELLentis (a subsidiary of Innogenetics), the product contains a cocktail of growth factors and cytokines released from the lysed keratinocytes, which stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. It represents a second-generation, shelf-stable alternative to live-cell therapies, allowing for easier storage and reconstitution at the point of care.
