Overview

LYR-210 is a bioabsorbable, implantable nasal mesh designed to deliver up to six months of continuous, localized anti-inflammatory therapy using mometasone furoate for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). It is intended for patients who have failed standard medical management and have not undergone prior ethmoid sinus surgery. The device provides sustained release of mometasone furoate directly to inflamed sinonasal tissue, aiming to improve symptoms such as nasal obstruction, discharge, facial pain/pressure, and loss of smell. Clinical studies (including Phase 2 LANTERN and Phase 3 ENLIGHTEN trials) have shown that LYR-210 can provide rapid and durable symptom improvement over 24 weeks with a favorable safety profile. However, in the pivotal ENLIGHTEN 1 Phase 3 trial, it did not meet its primary endpoint compared to sham control[1][2][3][5][6][7][8].
