LYT-210 is a novel, fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets T cells bearing gamma delta-1 (γδ1) T cell receptors. These γδ1 T cells are known to suppress the anti-tumor immune response and are enriched in many difficult-to-treat solid tumors and blood cancers. By specifically binding to the delta-1 chain of these γδ1 T cell receptors, LYT-210 rapidly induces cell death of these immunosuppressive γδ1 T cells through cytotoxicity and phagocytosis, while sparing other important healthy immune T cells. This mechanism aims to restore the immune system’s ability to attack tumors, making it a promising immunotherapy candidate for cancer treatment either as a single agent or in combination with checkpoint inhibitors and other anti-cancer therapies. The drug is being developed primarily for solid tumors including pancreatic, colorectal, cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer, head and neck cancers among others[1][4][6][7].
