LZM005 is a recombinant humanized anti-HER2 monoclonal antibody-MMAE conjugate (ADC) developed by Zhuhai Livzon Monoclonal Antibody Biotechnology. It is designed to target the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including breast and gastric cancers. The ADC consists of a humanized anti-HER2 antibody covalently linked to the potent cytotoxic microtubule inhibitor monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE). Upon binding to the HER2 receptor on the surface of malignant cells, the LZM005 complex is internalized via endocytosis. Once inside the cell, the cytotoxic payload is released, where it binds to tubulin and inhibits microtubule polymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. LZM005 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation for the treatment of HER2-positive advanced solid tumors.
