Drug intelligence / Profile preview
M OK-Plus is a topical oral antiseptic gel developed and marketed by Droplet Life Science, an Indian pharmaceutical company. The formulation is a combination of antimicrobial and anesthetic agents, typically including metronidazole, chlorhexidine gluconate, and lidocaine (lignocaine). It is indicated for the management of various oral mucosal conditions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, aphthous ulcers, and infections following dental procedures. Metronidazole acts against anaerobic bacteria by disrupting their DNA, chlorhexidine provides broad-spectrum antiseptic activity by damaging bacterial cell membranes, and lidocaine offers local anesthesia by blocking voltage-gated sodium channels to alleviate pain associated with oral lesions.
