Overview

M-T7 is a secreted myxoma viral immunomodulatory glycoprotein that acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent. It exhibits dual functions: inhibiting rabbit IFN-γ by mimicking its receptor and acting as a chemokine-binding protein. This chemokine-binding activity is species-nonspecific, allowing it to interact with a wide range of C, C-C, and C-X-C chemokines. Through these mechanisms, M-T7 has demonstrated efficacy in preclinical models by reducing intimal hyperplasia and inflammatory cell invasion after vascular injury, and by attenuating early inflammation following spinal cord injury.
