Overview

MA-7107 is a small molecule antagonist of the prostaglandin F2α (FP) receptor, currently under development by Maipl Therapeutics for the treatment of liver cancer. Licensed from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, the drug is designed to selectively inhibit PGF2α signaling, which is implicated in tumor progression and resistance. By targeting the FP receptor specifically, MA-7107 aims to augment the efficacy of chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapies while potentially offering a superior safety profile compared to traditional NSAIDs or COX-2 inhibitors, as it has minimal impact on other essential prostaglandin functions. It is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
