Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MA-T oral care gel is a therapeutic oral hygiene and moisturizing formulation developed by Earth Corporation, utilizing proprietary Matching System Technology (MA-T). This technology involves a stabilized aqueous chlorine dioxide system that selectively releases reactive oxygen species, specifically chlorine dioxide radicals, upon contact with target bacteria or organic matter. This mechanism provides potent antimicrobial and deodorizing effects while maintaining a high safety profile and low irritation. The gel is primarily being investigated for the treatment of xerostomia (dry mouth) in patients with Sjogren's syndrome, where it serves to hydrate the oral mucosa and improve overall oral health and hygiene. It is typically applied topically to the oral cavity four times daily.
