MaaT011 is an autologous fecal microbiota transfer (AFMT) product developed by MaaT Pharma. It is a full-ecosystem microbiome therapeutic manufactured under cGMP conditions, designed to restore gut microbiota diversity and richness in patients undergoing intensive treatments like induction chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). By reintroducing the patient's own pre-treatment microbiome, MaaT011 aims to counteract iatrogenic dysbiosis, reduce the carriage of antibiotic resistance genes, and decrease intestinal inflammation. In the Phase 1/2 ODYSSEE trial, MaaT011 demonstrated proof-of-concept by successfully reestablishing gut microbiota balance and potentially reducing the incidence of gastrointestinal graft-versus-host disease (GI-GvHD) in AML patients following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It served as the foundation for the company's subsequent pooled-donor products, MaaT013 and MaaT033.
