Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mAb107 is a first-in-class, "pure" (non-activating) orthosteric antagonist monoclonal antibody that targets the integrin CD11b (also known as integrin alpha M or ITGAM, part of the CD11b/CD18 heterodimer). Developed by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School, mAb107 stabilizes CD11b in its inactive, non-signaling conformation, thereby blocking on-target conformational activation and preventing proinflammatory outside-in signaling. This action selectively suppresses the infiltration of innate immune cells, such as neutrophils and macrophages, into damaged tissues. mAb107 has demonstrated efficacy in nonhuman primate (NHP) models of ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI), where it prevents progression of acute kidney injury (AKI) to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and significantly prolongs kidney allograft survival when administered peri-transplantation.
