mAb41-FL

mAb41-FL is a monoclonal antibody being developed by Mapp Biopharmaceutical and its commercial arm, LeafBio, for the intramuscular (IM) prophylaxis of Nipah virus and Hendra virus infections. Currently in the lead candidate stage of preclinical development, this antibody is designed to provide passive immunity against highly pathogenic henipaviruses. It likely functions by binding to and neutralizing viral surface glycoproteins, such as the attachment (G) or fusion (F) proteins, thereby preventing the virus from entering host cells and establishing infection. The "FL" designation in Mapp's pipeline often refers to specific glycoengineered versions of antibodies produced in their plant-based manufacturing platform.
