Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mAb6B12 is a monoclonal antibody designed to target and neutralize the extracellular S100A4 protein, an oncoprotein that plays a significant role in the progression and metastasis of aggressive prostate cancer. S100A4 is known to induce immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment and promote the vascular transmigration of cancer cells. By binding to S100A4, mAb6B12 inhibits its activity as a growth factor, reduces the expression of downstream targets such as NFκB, MMP9, and VEGF, and reverses immunosuppressive profiles by modulating cytokine levels and shifting the Th1/Th2 balance. Preclinical studies in syngeneic mouse models have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing tumor growth and bone demineralization.
