MACH-1 Biodefense AO1 is a preclinical-stage nucleic acid vaccine program developed by Orlance. It utilizes the proprietary MACH-1 delivery platform, which employs a high-pressure "gene gun" to deliver microparticle-formulated DNA or RNA vaccines directly into the epidermis. This specific program targets a range of biodefense-relevant pathogens, including Ebola virus, Dengue virus, various encephalitis viruses, Hantavirus, and orthopoxviruses (xPox). The goal of the AO1 program is to generate robust immune responses against these high-priority threats using a needle-free, stable, and rapid-response delivery technology.
