MACH-1 melanoma immunotherapy is a preclinical-stage nucleic acid-based therapeutic candidate developed by Orlance for the treatment of melanoma. The therapy utilizes the proprietary MACH-1 platform, a high-performance epidermal powdered gene gun (EPGG) delivery system. This technology delivers gold microparticles coated with nucleic acids (DNA or RNA) directly into the viable epidermis, specifically targeting antigen-presenting cells such as Langerhans cells. By delivering genetic material encoding melanoma-specific antigens directly into these cells, the immunotherapy is designed to elicit a robust and systemic T-cell mediated immune response to identify and destroy tumor cells. The program is currently in preclinical development.
