Orlance's veterinary nucleic acid vaccine program utilizes the proprietary MACH-1 (Micro-particle Associated Nucleic Acid Delivery) platform, a high-performance epidermal gene gun technology. This platform is designed to deliver DNA or RNA vaccines formulated as stable, needle-free, powdered micro-particles directly into the immunologically active epidermal layer of the skin. The mechanism involves the physical propulsion of these particles into cells, where the nucleic acid is expressed to trigger a robust immune response. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of traditional needle-and-syringe injections by potentially requiring lower doses, offering improved stability without the need for a cold chain, and inducing both humoral and cellular immunity. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, targeting various indications within animal health.
