Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Macrophage-colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) is an endogenous cytokine that plays a critical role in the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of monocytes and macrophages. It is involved in various physiological processes, including hematopoiesis, immune regulation, and bone metabolism. A completed clinical study (NCT02800954) investigated the value of M-CSF serum levels as a potential new marker for bone lesions in multiple myeloma.
