Madhusnuhi Rasayana

Madhusnuhi Rasayana is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation, classified as a *lehya* (herbal jam) or *rasayana* (rejuvenative tonic). It is primarily based on Kerala Ayurvedic traditions and is documented in classical texts such as the *Sahasrayogam*. The formulation's lead ingredient is *Smilax china* (Madhusnuhi), supplemented by a complex blend of herbs including *Triphala*, *Trikatu* (ginger, black pepper, long pepper), and various aromatic spices, processed in a base of sugar, ghee, and honey. It is traditionally indicated for a wide spectrum of chronic conditions, particularly skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema, as well as inflammatory disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and diabetic complications such as carbuncles.
