Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MAG-018 is a monoclonal antibody currently in preclinical development for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. It was developed by **Celexor Bio**, a portfolio company of the venture firm **Aditum Bio**, and is featured in the pipeline of **BuyCo**. The therapeutic candidate specifically targets **Immunoglobulin-like transcript 7 (ILT7)**, also known as **LILRA4**, which is a cell-surface receptor exclusively expressed on plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). pDCs are the primary source of Type I interferons (IFN-I) in the body, and their overactivation is a central driver in the pathogenesis of diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). By binding to ILT7, MAG-018 is designed to modulate pDC activity and suppress the excessive production of inflammatory cytokines, offering a targeted approach to managing interferon-mediated autoimmunity.
