Overview

**mage-2 peptide** refers to synthetic peptides derived from the melanoma-associated antigen MAGE-2 (Melanoma Antigen Gene-2), specifically selected for their ability to bind major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules and induce tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses in cancer immunotherapy. The peptide sequence *EYLQLVFGI* is identified as a potent inducer of HLA-A24-restricted CTLs, capable of targeting tumor cells expressing MAGE-2. These peptides are being investigated as cancer vaccine candidates for the treatment of various malignancies expressing the MAGE-2 antigen, leveraging the immune system to specifically recognize and destroy cancer cells[3]. The design and application aim to elicit an antigen-specific immune response, particularly in populations common for HLA-A24, by pulsing dendritic cells or other antigen-presenting cells with the peptide to train T cells to recognize tumor cells[1][3].
