MAGE-3 Peptide is a cancer immunotherapeutic agent derived from the MAGE-A3 gene, which is expressed in various tumor types but not in normal tissues except testis and placenta. This makes it an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy. MAGE-3 Peptide refers to synthetic peptides derived from the MAGE-A3 protein that can be recognized by the immune system, particularly cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). These peptides are presented by specific HLA molecules, such as HLA-A1, HLA-A2, and HLA-DR1, to stimulate an immune response against cancer cells expressing the MAGE-A3 antigen. Several specific MAGE-3 peptides have been identified and studied: - MAGE-A3: 112–120 (KVAELVHFL) - presented by HLA-A*0201 - MAGE-A3: 271–279 (FLWGPRALV) - presented by HLA-A*0201 - MAGE-A3: 267–289 - presented by HLA-DR1 to CD4+ T cells These peptides have been used in various clinical trials and experimental settings to induce anti-tumor immune responses, particularly against melanoma, lung cancer, and other MAGE-A3-expressing tumors.
