The MAGE-3243-258 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 243–258 of the melanoma-associated antigen 3 (MAGE-3, also known as MAGE-A3), designed for use as a cancer vaccine antigen. It is presented by HLA-DP4 and is used in peptide vaccination protocols, especially in melanoma patients. The peptide is intended to induce a T cell immune response against tumor cells expressing MAGE-3/MAGE-A3, which is selectively overexpressed in many cancers—including melanoma—while largely absent in normal tissues. This strategy aims to enhance anti-tumor immunity by promoting tumor-specific T cell involvement, particularly CD4+ T helper cell responses[3][4].
