This is an autologous dendritic cell vaccine developed by Penn State University targeting three cancer-testis antigens: MAGE-A1, MAGE-A3, and NY-ESO-1. The vaccine consists of a patient's own dendritic cells pulsed with overlapping peptides derived from the full-length versions of these proteins. It is designed to stimulate a cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response against tumor cells expressing these antigens, which are typically found in high-risk pediatric solid tumors like neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma. In clinical trials, it has been administered alongside imiquimod as a topical adjuvant and sometimes decitabine to enhance antigen expression through demethylation.
