MAGE-A1 Other HLA TCR-T is an autologous T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by Anocca. This cell therapy utilizes T cells that have been genetically modified to express specific T-cell receptors (TCRs) capable of recognizing peptides derived from the Melanoma-associated antigen A1 (MAGE-A1). MAGE-A1 is a cancer-testis antigen that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including melanoma, breast cancer, and lung cancer, while remaining largely absent in healthy adult tissues. Unlike many TCR-T therapies that are restricted to patients with the common HLA-A*02:01 allele, this program specifically targets MAGE-A1 peptides presented on a diverse range of other Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) alleles. This approach is intended to broaden the eligible patient population for precision immunotherapy. The therapy is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of multiple MAGE-A1-positive malignancies.
