Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MAGE-A4 Other HLA TCR-T is an investigational T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by Anocca. It is designed to target the Melanoma-associated antigen A4 (MAGE-A4), a member of the cancer-testis antigen family that is highly expressed in various solid tumors—such as lung, bladder, and head and neck cancers—while remaining largely absent in healthy tissues. This specific program utilizes Anocca's proprietary platform to identify and engineer TCRs that recognize MAGE-A4 peptides presented on a broad range of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) alleles beyond the most common ones like HLA-A*02:01. By targeting additional HLA restrictions, the therapy aims to expand the eligible patient population for MAGE-A4-targeted immunotherapy. The treatment involves the ex vivo engineering of T cells to express these specific TCRs, which, upon re-infusion, recognize and eliminate MAGE-A4-positive malignant cells.
