Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Magne-B6 is a combination medicinal product containing magnesium lactate dihydrate and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), developed by Opella Healthcare Group, a subsidiary of Sanofi. It is indicated for the treatment of clinical magnesium deficiency, whether isolated or associated with other mineral deficiencies. Magnesium serves as an essential intracellular cation that modulates neuronal excitability and neuromuscular transmission. Pyridoxine is included in the formulation to facilitate the gastrointestinal absorption of magnesium and support its intracellular accumulation. The product is commonly used to manage symptoms associated with deficiency, including nervousness, irritability, mild anxiety, fatigue, and muscle spasms.
