Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Magnesium EG Opti is a dietary supplement developed and distributed by Euro Generics (EG), a Belgian pharmaceutical company and subsidiary of the STADA Group. It is formulated as film-coated tablets containing 225 mg of elemental magnesium derived from three organic salts: magnesium citrate, magnesium taurate, and magnesium glycerophosphate. These organic salts are specifically selected for their high bioavailability and superior gastrointestinal tolerance compared to inorganic magnesium compounds. The formulation also includes 0.7 mg of Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) to support magnesium absorption and contribute to normal nervous system function. Magnesium EG Opti is indicated for the prevention and correction of magnesium deficiency, particularly during periods of increased physiological demand such as pregnancy, growth, intense physical activity, stress, and fatigue. It supports normal muscle function, helps prevent muscle cramps, and contributes to energy metabolism and the reduction of tiredness.
