Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Magnidicon is an oral antacid and antiflatulent combination therapy developed and manufactured by Tunggal Idaman Abdi. It is formulated as both a chewable tablet and an oral suspension containing aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide act as antacids by neutralizing gastric acid, thereby reducing hyperacidity and relieving symptoms of gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric distress. Simethicone is a surfactant that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their coalescence and expulsion to relieve bloating and flatulence. Magnidicon is approved and marketed in Indonesia for the symptomatic relief of gastric hyperacidity, gastritis, duodenal ulcers, flatulence, and bloating.
