Overview

Magnolia kobus bark is derived from the Magnolia kobus tree, native to Japan and Korea. It has a long history of use in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. Bioactive constituents found in Magnolia bark, such as honokiol and magnolol, have demonstrated antidiabetic properties. These include improving hyperglycemia, ameliorating diabetic complications, and positively influencing lipid metabolism and oxidative stress. The bark also exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
