Overview

Maivatnib is an orally bioavailable, irreversible pan-HER tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) developed by Hangzhou Huadong Medicine Group. It is designed to covalently bind to and inhibit the kinase domains of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and HER4. By blocking these receptors, maivatnib inhibits downstream signaling pathways, such as PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK, which are critical for the proliferation and survival of tumor cells. The drug is primarily being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in patients harboring EGFR-sensitive mutations, particularly as a first-line therapy.
