MAK Immune Cell Injection is an autologous or allogeneic cell therapy consisting of Mixed Activated Killer (MAK) cells, developed by Beijing Tuohua Weiye Biotechnology. MAK cells are a heterogeneous population of immune effector cells, including T lymphocytes, Natural Killer (NK) cells, and NKT cells, which are activated and expanded *ex vivo* (typically using cytokines such as IL-2 and anti-CD3 antibodies) to enhance their anti-tumor cytolytic activity. The therapy is designed to treat advanced solid tumors, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma, by leveraging the broad-spectrum cytotoxic capabilities of these activated immune cells to target and eliminate malignant cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/IIa clinical trials in China for patients who have failed or are intolerant to standard systemic therapies.
