Overview

ADC-2 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) characterized by a maleimidocaproyl valine-citrulline-p-aminobenzyl carbamate cleavable linker and a monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) payload. This ADC is utilized in studies to understand the biotransformation of ADCs, including the release mechanism of catabolites and the stability of intact ADCs in circulation. It is also used to investigate protein-protein interactions and hydrophobicity properties in size exclusion chromatography analysis, where it has been noted as relatively hydrophilic compared to other ADCs. The MMAE payload is a potent antimitotic agent that inhibits tubulin polymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
