Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MALT1 inhibitor (C4X Discovery) is a small-molecule inhibitor of Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma translocation protein 1 (MALT1) currently in development by C4X Discovery for the treatment of immuno-inflammatory diseases. MALT1 is a paracaspase that functions as a key signaling component within the CBM (CARMA1-BCL10-MALT1) complex, which is essential for the activation of the NF-κB pathway in response to antigen receptor stimulation in T and B cells. By inhibiting MALT1, the drug aims to modulate the immune response and reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, providing a targeted approach for chronic inflammatory conditions.
