MAN-04

MAN-04 is an experimental small molecule drug candidate developed by Mannin Research in collaboration with Q BioMed. It is designed to treat severe infectious diseases, including influenza and Ebola virus disease, by targeting the Angiopoietin-Tie2 signaling pathway. As a Tie2 receptor activator, MAN-04 aims to stabilize the vascular endothelium and maintain the integrity of the blood-vessel barrier, thereby preventing the vascular leakage and systemic inflammatory complications often associated with high-morbidity viral infections. Unlike traditional antivirals that target the pathogen itself, MAN-04 is a host-directed therapy that focuses on strengthening the host's vascular defense mechanisms, potentially offering broad-spectrum protection against various infectious agents and other conditions characterized by endothelial dysfunction, such as pulmonary arterial hypertension.
