Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mandoorathi Kudineer is a classical herbo-mineral Siddha formulation primarily used for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia and liver-related disorders. Developed and manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company, the formulation consists of purified mandooram (mandoora bhasma), which provides elemental iron (approximately 23%), alongside herbal components such as *Mangifera indica* (mango), *Wedelia calendulacea* (manjal karisalai), and *Phyllanthus niruri* (keezhanelli). It is traditionally prepared as a decoction (kashaya) and is indicated for conditions including jaundice, edema, ascites, hepatosplenomegaly, and abdominal tumors. The medicine is typically administered twice daily before food to address systemic swellings and flatulence.
