Overview

Manifaxine (GW320659) is a highly selective neuronal norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor developed by GlaxoSmithKline. It was investigated as a small molecule therapy for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obesity, and smoking cessation. The drug reached phase II clinical trials but development was discontinued for all indications. Manifaxine acts primarily by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine in the central nervous system[1][2][4][6].
