A subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (AIT) vaccine developed by Inmunotek S.L. for the treatment of grass pollen-induced allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis. The vaccine consists of polymerized allergoids from *Dactylis glomerata* (orchard grass) and *Phleum pratense* (timothy grass) pollen, which are chemically conjugated to mannan (a carbohydrate from *Saccharomyces cerevisiae*). This conjugation targets C-type lectin receptors, specifically the mannose receptor (CD206), on dendritic cells. This targeting enhances allergen uptake and processing, promoting the induction of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines like IL-10, thereby shifting the immune response from a Th2-allergic profile toward long-term immune tolerance.
