Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Manorapid Synergy is a topical, alcohol-based antiseptic solution designed for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. Manufactured by ANTISEPTICA, it contains a combination of ethanol and 1-propanol as active biocidal agents, supplemented with skin-conditioning components such as lanolin derivatives, glycerol, and glycols to improve skin compatibility. The product exhibits a broad antimicrobial spectrum, including activity against bacteria, yeasts, mycobacteria, and both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, influenza, and poliovirus). While primarily regulated as a biocidal product rather than a traditional pharmaceutical, it has been evaluated in clinical settings, such as Phase IV studies in healthy volunteers, to assess skin tolerance compared to other virucidal hand rubs.
