MariGen Shield

MariGen Shield is a medical device developed by Kerecis for the management of chronic and complex wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers. It consists of a fenestrated, intact fish skin graft derived from sustainably sourced Icelandic fish, integrated with a silicone contact layer. The fish skin serves as a biocompatible scaffold containing natural components like fat, protein, elastin, and glycans, which support cell growth and tissue regeneration. The silicone layer facilitates application and protects the wound bed. It is processed using the proprietary EnviroIntact method and is classified as a medical device under FDA 510(k) clearance.
