Overview
Markman Biologics Microsurfaced ADM is a biological tissue graft composed of cadaveric acellular dermal matrix (ADM) that has been processed using a proprietary microsurfacing technology. This process increases the surface area of the matrix to improve graft-host cellular interaction, adhesion, and integration. Developed by Markman Biologics Corporation (now associated with CellTherX Corp), the graft is primarily intended for soft tissue augmentation in dental procedures, such as increasing keratinized tissue in patients with minimal attached gingiva, and for the management of acute and chronic wounds. The technology is commercially available in the dental market under the brand name Cytoplast Microderm through a licensing agreement with Osteogenics.
