MART-127-35 peptide-pulsed dendritic cells are an autologous cell therapy product created by pulsing patients' own dendritic cells in vitro with the MART-1(27-35) peptide, a melanoma antigen epitope. These peptide-pulsed dendritic cells are then administered to patients to stimulate a tumor-specific immune response, primarily activating MART-1-specific cytotoxic (CD8+) T cells, and sometimes helper (CD4+) T cells, against melanoma cells. The approach is a type of personalized cancer immunotherapy, leveraging dendritic cell antigen presentation to induce targeted anti-tumor immunity. Primary indications have been metastatic and advanced melanoma. The therapy is typically administered in the context of clinical trials and is not a commercial product.
