Overview
MAS-1-adjuvanted seasonal inactivated influenza vaccine (MER4101) is an investigational, adjuvanted, inactivated influenza vaccine developed for the prevention of human influenza. The formulation includes the MAS-1 adjuvant to enhance immune response. It is administered intramuscularly and is being evaluated as a therapeutic vaccine to stimulate immunogenicity against seasonal flu viruses. The primary developer associated with this candidate is Mercia Pharma, with some sources also mentioning Nova Biomedical[1][4][5]. Its mechanism of action involves immunostimulation through modulation of Th2 cells[5][8]. As of the latest available data, MER4101 has reached Phase 1 clinical trials for human influenza and has not been approved or marketed anywhere[1][5].
