MASCT-I + apatinib is an investigational combination therapy involving Multi-Antigen Stimulated Cell Therapy-I (MASCT-I), an autologous adoptive cellular immunotherapy, and apatinib, an oral small-molecule VEGFR-2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor. MASCT-I involves dendritic cells (DCs) loaded with multiple tumor antigens and infused cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) activated by PD-1 blockade. Apatinib specifically inhibits VEGFR-2, suppressing tumor angiogenesis, and may also modulate tumor immune microenvironment, making it synergistic with immunotherapies. The combination has been studied for advanced solid tumors (notably sarcomas), showing promising responses and progression-free survival improvement without markedly increased toxicity.
