Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Matchpoint Therapeutics, in collaboration with Novartis, is developing an oral, small-molecule covalent inhibitor targeting a transcription factor involved in multiple inflammatory diseases. The program leverages Matchpoint's Advanced Covalent Exploration (ACE) platform to identify and target novel binding sites on proteins previously deemed difficult to drug. By covalently binding to the target transcription factor, the molecule aims to inhibit its activity and subsequently reduce the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. As of July 2025, the program is in the preclinical development stage, with specific molecular targets and indications remaining undisclosed.
