Maveropepimut-S is a subcutaneously administered peptide-based therapeutic cancer vaccine designed to activate T cells against tumors expressing the protein survivin. It consists of five survivin-derived peptides with different human leukocyte antigen (HLA) restrictions, a universal T helper peptide, and a polynucleotide adjuvant encapsulated in a lipid depot formulation (DPX platform). The vaccine stimulates survivin-specific killer T cells that infiltrate tumors and promote the destruction of cancer cells by disrupting their survival mechanisms. Maveropepimut-S has demonstrated robust and durable immune responses in clinical trials for various cancers, particularly ovarian cancer. The drug is being developed as an immunotherapy for hard-to-treat solid tumors and hematologic malignancies[1][2][3][4][5][6].
