Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MAX-3 is a small molecule Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor developed by Guangzhou Zaiji Medical Technology (also known as Maxinovel). It is designed to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by blocking the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, which is critical for the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for indications including alopecia areata and atopic dermatitis. By inhibiting the intracellular enzymes that mediate signaling from cytokine receptors, MAX-3 aims to modulate the immune response and reduce the inflammatory processes underlying these skin conditions.
