Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Maxihair is a topical solution containing minoxidil, developed and marketed by Anhox Healthcare. It is primarily used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) and hereditary hair loss. As a vasodilator, it works by widening blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the scalp's hair follicles. This process helps prevent hair cell death and stimulates the growth of new hair. It is available in 2% and 5% formulations, with the higher concentration typically indicated for men and the lower concentration suitable for women with thinning hair.
