MAXY-VII

**MAXY-VII** is a sequence-optimized, engineered variant of recombinant Factor VIIa (rFVIIa) developed using Maxygen's molecular evolution technology to improve its therapeutic properties for hemophilia and bleeding disorders. It features enhanced platelet binding and increased glycosylation to extend circulating half-life compared to standard rFVIIa, aiming for more effective hemostasis with potentially reduced dosing frequency. Developed by Maxygen in collaboration with Bayer HealthCare, it targeted hemophilia patients, including those with inhibitors, and was explored for broader applications like trauma and intracranial hemorrhage.[1][3][5][15]
