MB-001

MB-001 is an orally administered, humanized monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with a primary focus on ulcerative colitis. The drug is formulated for targeted release in inflamed mucosa, aiming to achieve optimal tissue penetration through active receptor-mediated transport and enhanced potency compared to systemically applied antibodies. Its mechanism includes optimized receptor interaction via a modified glycosylation pattern, designed to maximize local action in inflamed tissue while minimizing systemic uptake.
