MB-102 CD123 CAR is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell investigational product developed by Mustang Bio in collaboration with City of Hope. It is designed to target the CD123 antigen, which is expressed on certain cancer cells. The therapy involves genetically modifying autologous T cells using a self-inactivating lentiviral vector to express a CD123-specific, CD28-costimulatory CAR, along with a truncated human epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFRt). It was investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm (BPDCN) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Mustang Bio discontinued the development of the MB-102 program and terminated related agreements in May 2023.
